The L|S Real Estate Group Story

 

L|S Real Estate Group was officially launched on November 1, 2024, by Natasha Sutherland and Tony Lucas, with a shared vision of building something bigger than what either could achieve alone. By combining their experience, strengths, and long-term goals, they formed a team designed to grow, evolve, and serve clients across Newfoundland and Labrador.


Today, the team includes Stephen Moss as a buyerโ€™s agent and Christine Delaney as the teamโ€™s administrative support, allowing L|S Real Estate Group to provide organized, responsive service while continuing to expand both its client base and team structure.

The team was created with the belief that collaboration leads to better outcomes โ€” for clients and for each other. L|S Real Estate Group works with newcomers to Newfoundland, relocating families, real estate investors, and both buyers and sellers throughout the province.


A core goal of the team is to help people put down roots and stay in Newfoundland by making the transition to homeownership and community life clear, supported, and sustainable. Beyond real estate, L|S Real Estate Group is committed to contributing to the long-term strength of the province they call home.


They believe that helping people find the right place to live also means helping Newfoundland thrive โ€” by supporting local communities, honouring its history, and encouraging growth that respects both the people and the place. Through collaborations with programs such as IENL Study & Stay Program and AMAL Youth & Family Center in St. Johnโ€™s, we provide practical, accessible education to help newcomers understand how the home buying process works in Canada and in Newfoundland specifically.


Our goal is to create a welcoming and supportive learning space where participants can ask questions, gain clarity, and build confidence in their decision-making. By working directly with trusted newcomer-serving organizations, we ensure that the information we provide is relevant, culturally aware, and aligned with the real-life needs of people building new lives in Newfoundland.


Through these events, L|S Real Estate Group aims to remove barriers to homeownership, strengthen community connections, and help newcomers move beyond renting into long-term stability and belonging. For many participants, these workshops are not just about buying a home โ€” they are about putting down roots and beginning the next chapter of their life in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Tony Lucas is deeply connected to both Newfoundland and the French-speaking world. Originally from Miquelon, with a mother from Newfoundland and Labrador, Tony has lived in France for many years and is fluent in French across multiple regions and dialects. His background gives him a strong understanding of the cultural and practical needs of French-speaking newcomers and residents in St. Johnโ€™s.


Tony created French Fridays YYT, a networking and social group designed to connect French-speaking people in St. Johnโ€™s, Newfoundland, and help them build meaningful relationships within the local community. Through regular events and gatherings, the group provides a welcoming space for connection, conversation, and professional networking.


These events are hosted at the local French restaurant Bibi Bistro and are supported through collaboration with the French community and cultural organizations in Newfoundland. The goal of the group is to bring people together, support newcomers, and strengthen the presence of French culture and language in the province.


Through this work, Tony contributes to making Newfoundland a more inclusive and connected place to live, especially for those arriving from French-speaking countries or regions. His involvement reflects the broader mission of L|S Real Estate Group: helping people feel at home not only through housing, but through community, culture, and connection.
